INVITATION

Submissions are invited for either:

1. Workshop (90 minutes)

Workshops will be based on practical experience or research developments related to one of the conference topics. Workshops will encourage participants to engage in interactive tasks that relate to practical applications in training and assessment. Handouts, resources and other material for delegates are encouraged. Workshop groups may comprise 30-40 participants and will be delivered in separate workshop rooms.

Workshops should not consist of presentations, other than to provide input or context for the interactive workshop activities.

Presenters will have 10 minutes to deliver a short introductory presentation prior to their workshop.

2. Presentation (30 minutes) + Q&A panel (10 minutes)

Presenters are encouraged to share research or experiences related to a current or future practice, idea and/or theory related to one or more of the conference topics. Presentations will be delivered in the main auditorium.

Presenters will be invited to join Q&A panels at the end of sessions.

REQUIREMENTS

Your submission must include:

  1. Biography: summarise your (and any co-presenter’s) background, experience etc [max. 100 words]
  2. Written Proposal: introduce your workshop or presentation – see ‘IMPORTANT’ below [max: 500 words]
IMPORTANT

Your Written Proposal must include all of the following:

Workshops

  1. Specify how your workshop aligns with the conference topics, and, which questions it aims to answer.
  2. Explain what your introductory presentation will focus on and the interactive, practical activities for participants in your workshop.

Presentations

  1. Specify how your presentation aligns with the conference topics, and, which questions it aims to answer.
  2. Explain the issue, challenge, concept, case study or research you will present and the conclusions you will make.

NOTE

  • Actual workshop materials and presentations are not required as part of the submission.
  • Submissions for more than one workshop or presentation will be considered.
  • Presenters are not permitted to promote commercial products or training services.
  • If co-presenting, one presenter is exempt from paying the conference registration fee.

IMPORTANT DATES

Proposal submission deadline: 28 February 2025
Speaker acceptance notifications: 14 March 2025
Finalisation of provisional programme: 4 April 2025
Release of provisional programme: 15 April 2025
